This fonds consists of records created, accumulated and used by the administrators of the Village of Truax between 1915 to 1970.

The types of records included are council minutes (1923-1959); financial statements (1939-1970); cash books showing receipts (1915-1963) and expenditures (1915-1943); assessment and tax rolls (1922-1964); birth registers (1940-1951); death registers (1941-1948); marriage registers (1940-1950); and correspondence (1955-1962).

Personal records of Joseph Daniel Porter including a 1916 certificate of enlistment; 1917 baptismal certificate for his eldest son, Robert John Bud Porter, and material relating to elections and politics, 1930-1960. Porter served as a councillor, registrar and secretary-treasurer for the Village of Truax, Saskatchewan. He also served as a justice of the peace for Truax and as secretary-treasurer for Oregon School District No. 1697.
