Album containing images of trip taken by W.M. Stewart as part of crew surveying Fort Churchill. Images depict travels from Ontario to Prince Albert, Sk., then along the North Saskatchewan River, including Cumberland House, Lake Winnipeg, Norway House, Manitoba, the Nelso and Churchill Rivers, Fort Churchill, Manitoba and Edmonton, Alberta.

William Roland Mitchell correspondence

Photocopies of correspondence from William Roland Mitchell to his parents on various subjects, including his arrival in Canada, hunting expedition to North-West and through the United States, and the Palliser expedition. Mitchell was a member of the Palliser Expidition that explored and surveyed western Canada between 1857 and 1860. File also includes transcriptions of the correspondence, created by Irene Spry.

This collection consists of records accumulated by T.N.H. Crump of Regina, Saskatchewan relating to land surveying and surveyors. The records date from ca. 1870 to 1978.

This collection includes copies of the Journal of the Dominion Land Surveyors' Association (1922-1926) and the Canadian Surveyor (1928-1978); surveying manuals including Gurley's Manual; Hurst's Architectural Surveyors' Handbook; essays including My First Survey Party by D. Alpine Smith and Restoration of Survey Monuments by T.S. Nash; correspondence regarding Porcupine Forest Reserve Survey; Department of the Interior bulletins, dispatches and reports; the publication, Description of Boundary Monuments Erected on Surveys of Dominion Lands, 1871-1917; a list of old trails transferred to the Saskatchewan Government by Order-in-Council; biographical sketches of Will Malcolm Stewart and William Robinson Reilly; and a menu for the fifteenth annual dinner of the Saskatchewan Land Surveyors' Association in 1925.
