Saskatchewan House, London guest book

Guest book from Saskatchewan House, London, England, June 20, 1952-December 4, 1967. Guests were that of Graham Spry, Agent-General for Saskatchewan in the United Kingdom, Europe and the Near East, and his wife, Irene. Book also includes a register of guests at the Spry home in Ottawa on November 8, 1980 for a "Celebrate Saskatchewan" dinner, and for those visiting the Spry home on July 18, 1983, and May 2, 1984.

A commercially-produced copy of the documentary entitled, Radical Dreamer: The Passionate Journey of Graham Spry, produced by White Pine Pictures and Soundings/Steele Inc. The film chronicles the life of Graham Spry (1900-1983) and his accomplishments as a newspaper reporter, war correspondent, Oxford scholar, organizer of Canadian Clubs, co-founder of the Canadian Radio League, influencing force behind the establishment of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, and leading magazine publisher. Also included are Spry's political contributions as an organizer of the Co-operative Commonwealth Federation Party (CCF) in Saskatchewan, a contributor to the signing of the Regina Manifesto, and as an Agent General for Saskatchewan in Great Britain.

Interview subjects include: Spry's daughter and grandson (Lib and Jeremy Spry); former Saskatchewan Premier, the Hon. Allan Blakeney; journalist Larry Zolf; National Arts Centre CEO Peter Herrndorf; former CRTC commissioners John Meisel and Robert O'Reilly; and Kealy Wilkinson of the Canadian Broadcast Museum Project.

Radical Dreamer: The Passionate Journey of Graham Spry was produced and directed by Peter Raymont and Bruce Steele; written by Steele; and edited by David Murray and Cathy Gulkin. It was narrated by Raymont, with Eric Peterson providing the voice of Graham Spry. The documentary was produced in association with the Saskatchewan Communications Network, TVO, The Knowledge Network, and Canadian Learning Television.
