Lentils series

This series consists of records relating to Lentils, a documentary produced by Framework Productions Inc. for the Saskatchewan Department of Agriculture. The documentary includes interview segments with unidentified farmers talking about various necessary adaptations to swathers and combines needed to harvest lentils and desiccation by airplane and ground sprayers.

The second rough cut has a time counter and header on the bottom of the screen. The original camera footage includes shots of grain elevators; agricultural equipment including a Case combine, a Massey-Ferguson 750 combine; a Massey-Ferguson swather and Spra-Coupe sprayer; close-ups of lentils in a field; combining lentils with a Massey-Ferguson combine and International tractor with a John Deere pull-type combine; an agricultural aircraft preparing for a flight and shots of it taking off; and a farmer unloading lentils at Metals Industries Ltd and checking and weighing a lentil sample for moisture.
