This fonds consists of records created, accumulated and used by George H. Barr during his residence in Regina, Saskatchewan. The records relate mainly to Barr's activities as the legal counsel for various Saskatchewan cooperative organizations; as chairman of the Regina College Citizens Committee and as a member of various organizations, including the Saskatchewan Art Association; the Canadian Bar Association and the Saskatchewan Bar Association. Records relating to William Duncan Herridge and the New Democracy Movement; Saskatchewan's natural resources; constitutional issues and economic reform are included in the fonds.

The fonds also includes personal records, consisting mainly of correspondence relating to Barr's properties; ration books issued to Barr and his wife during the Second World War; Ethel and George Barr's 1906 marriage certificate and various certificates issued to his children.
