This fonds consists of records created, accumulated and used by John M. Cuelenaere during his political career as Minister of Natural Resources. The fonds includes a small volume of records created by Eiling Kramer, Cuelenaere's predecessor in the portfolio.

The types of records included are correspondence, memoranda, newspaper clippings, budget materials, legislation, reports, and maps.

Includes winter works projects of the Saskatchewan Department of Natural Resources, recently-constructed school buildings, and housing projects administered by the Saskatchewan Department of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation. Indigenous housing settlement at Pinehouse; Department of Natural Resources facilities at La Ronge

01: Exterior view of the log house of Francis Lariviere at Pinehouse. The house was built from a Saskatchewan Department of Natural Resources housing grant and financing by the Pinehouse Housing Co-operative. 02: A one-and-a-half storey log house is being constructed by Bert Rediron at Pinehouse. The log shack in the foreground is occupied by Rediron, his wife and their eight sons while the new house in under construction. 03: Rediron applies shingles to his roof. As part of the financing program, homeowners were required to provide either one-fifth of the cost in equity or in labour. 04: Rear view of a house belonging to Dick Hansen. Project carpentry foreman Joe Landry finishes the trim work on one of the windows. 05: Sheathing is nearly completed on the Hansen house. The Hansen family includes twelve children. 06: Aerial view of the new housing area.
