Historical trailers: Consists of a series of eight 1 minute vignettes related to different Saskatchewan places or historical events:

(1) Looks at the Legislative Building in Regina. Includes interior and exterior shots of the building and scenes of the opening of the legislative session with the Lieutenant Governor in attendance.
(2) Looks at the Saskatchewan Museum of Natural History (now Royal Saskatchewan Museum) building in Regina. Includes exterior and interior shots of the building and of the dioramas depicting the wildlife of Saskatchewan.
(3) Contemporary black and white film footage of men operating old steam powered threshing machinery and women providing meals to the men. Includes shots of a modern self-propelled combine operating in a farm field.
(4) Shots of a church, constructed of field stone at the turn of the century, at Dilke, Saskatchewan. Includes exterior and interior shots of the church.
(5) Looks at the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) barracks at Regina. The site has served as the Force's main training base since 1882. Includes scenes of the grounds, the little chapel and the museum.
(6) Highlights a log structure at Fort Qu'Appelle that was part of the Hudson Bay post built in 1864. The building is a designated national historic site and is open as a museum.
(7) Looks at the potash deposits in the province and their importance to the province's economy. Includes exterior and interior shots of a potash mine.
(8) Highlights the Qu'Appelle Valley as a place for water sports and other recreational activities.

Binnie, Sarah K., Miss : General pioneer experiences questionnaire

File consists of the response by Miss Sarah K. Binnie to the Saskatchewan Archives' questionnaire pertaining to general pioneer experiences about her father Francis (Frank) Binnie. Archives staff recorded that the respondent indicated on the questionnaire that they or their family came to Saskatchewan and/or the Canadian prairies in 1882.

Questionnaire number 2 on pioneer experiences included questions on: places lived; income; family relations; travel; commerce; "firsts"; sources of place names; availability of historical source materials; and important changes since their arrival.

Typewritten copy of the journals of Charles Pratt, a native catechist of the Church Missionary Society (Anglican) in the Hudson's Bay Company territory dating from 1851 to 1860. Journals copied from the microfilm of the Church Missionary Society records in the Public Archives of Canada, possibly by A.R. Turner in November 1959.

Item is a photocopy of a map showing the railways, trails, and telegraph lines used in the Riel Rebellion of 1885 for the districts of Alberta, Saskatchewan, Keewatin, Assiniboia, and Manitoba, along with parts of Montana and North Dakota. Along top edge of sheet are illustrations of: Qu'Appelle Valley; Sir John A. MacDonald; and Medicine Hat (showing bridge crossing over South Saskatchewan River); along bottom edge of sheet are illustrations of: Kopiassiswean (alternately known as Koriassiswean or Bird Skin) based on photograph taken near Calgary in 1884; Major General Sir Frederick Dobson Middleton; crossed rifles with bayonets; "Savage Indian Warfare" - a depiction of a First Nations' warrior standing over a prone figure with a raised arm; Louis Riel; crossed tomahawk and Indian pipe; and Ne-Raip-A-Shaw.
