Conquest series

This series consists of records relating to Conquest, a feature film produced by Shaftesbury Films, Heartland Motion Pictures and Greenpoint Films. Directed by Piers Haggard, the film was shot on location in Davin, Mortlach and St. Joseph's, Saskatchewan. The cast includes Lothaire Bluteau, Tara Fitzgerald, Monique Mercure, David Fox, Eugene Lipinski and Daniel Macdonald. The film was produced by Stephen Onda and Christina Jennings and written by Rob Forsyth.

The film was produced with the participation of Canada Television and Cable Production Fund, Telefilm Canada and SaskFilm. The film was produced in association with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) and was the winner of the Best Canadian Film Award at the 1998 Atlantic Film Festival. In 1999, Monique Mercure won the Genie Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role for her performance as Grace Gallagher. Conquest has been shown on the Showtime network in the United States.

This fonds consists of records created, accumulated and used by Grant Devine as Premier of Saskatchewan and President of the Executive Council from 1982 to 1991. This fonds also contains copies of correspondence related to Devine's activities as Member of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan (MLA) for the Estevan constituency, Minister of Agriculture and member of the Crown Management Board of Saskatchewan.

This poster is about the Farm Jubilee at Indian Head that was held on August 19, 1955. This event includes the unveiling of a cairn honouring the pioneers of the Territorial Grain Growers, followed by a basket picnic at the experimental farm. Hon. J.G. Garner, Hon. T.C. Douglas, Hon. D.L. Campbell, and Hon. E.C. Manning were the speakers.

Field Day - Dominion Range Experiment Station

This poster includes information about the 6th annual Field Day at the Dominion Range Experiment Station in Manyberries, Alberta. It was held on Saturday, July 30, 1938. Speakers included: Hon. Geo. Spence, Director of P.F.R.A.; Jack Byers, Manager Western Stock Growers' Assoc.; E.E. Eisenhauer, Irrigation Specialist; and R. Painter, Entomological Specialist. Tours were offered and and a demonstration of rug making by Miss D.M. Hannaford. A lunch was served as well as sports and entertainment for the evening.

This fonds consists of records created, accumulated and used between 1966 and 1999 by the Globe Theatre, a professional theatre company located in Regina, Saskatchewan. The records relate to the administrative and operational records of the Globe's staff, including those of: artistic directors Kenneth Kramer (1966-1990), Sue Kramer (1966-1978), Susan Ferley (1990-1998) and Ruth Smillie (1998-1999); and employees responsible for the company's administration and management, marketing and public relations, educational programming, technical direction, costume design, and box office management. As well, records relate to the theatrical productions presented throughout the Globe's history. Also included are records of the board of directors of the Globe Theatre Society, the non-profit corporation associated with the theatre company.
