Brenda Zeman, daughter of Joe Zeman, donated some of these records to the Saskatoon office, Saskatchewan Archives, in two accessions in 2009 and 2010: 2009-425 (April 23, 2009) and 2010-055 (March 4, 2010).

Scope and content

This series consists of records created, accumulated and used by Joe Zeman of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The records relate mainly to Zeman's education, employment, hobbies and interests. This series includes a photocopied scrapbook compiled by Zeman containing articles written by his friend, Pat O'Dwyer, a columnist with the Saskatoon Star-Phoenix. Copies of The Saskatchewan Senior (1978-1992) and records of Joseph Kanik, a friend of Joe Zeman, are included in this series.

The types of records included are correspondence; congratulatory letters; photographs; certificates; obituaries; publications; notebooks; clippings; funeral cards; programmes; a photo album and maps.

Immediate source of acquisition

Joe Zeman donated some of these records to the Saskatoon office, Saskatchewan Archives in eight accessions between 1985 and 2002: S85-209 (November 15, 1985); S87-10 (January 19, 1987); S87-16 (January 29, 1987); S88-83 (October 17, 1988); S89-1 (January 4, 1989); S89-74 (August 4, 1989); S93-65 (September 27, 1993) and S2002-10 (March 14, 2002).
