Cowan, Pamela

Photocopies of a series of articles by Pamela Cowan of the Regina Sun, published during June 29 and Oct. 5 in the Speaker's Corner section of the Regina Sun. The articles tell the history of many Regina buildings and a park including: Victoria Park, Government House, Federal Building, Central Fire Hall, First Baptist Church, St. Paul's Anglican Cathedral, Royal Canadian Legion Hall, Darke Hall, Balfour Technical High School, Saskatchewan Legislative Building, Knox-Metropolitan United Church, Holy Rosary Cathedral, and Wetmore School. All sketches are by William Argan.

Compilation of silent moving images, filmed,edited and produced by Darryl Kinaschuk (a.k.a. Deco Dawson) of various public buildings, landmarks and public spaces in Regina, Saskatchewan, including: the MacKenzie Art Gallery at the T.C. Douglas Building; the Conexus Arts Centre; Wascana Lake; the Saskatchewan Legislative Building; the Royal Saskatchewan Museum; the Cenotaph in Victoria Park; and the Regina Public Library.

The moving images were filmed on, according to Kinaschuk, one of the last remaining rolls of Kodachrome 40 Super 16 mm film stock available. The images were then transferred to digital format. MI-13527 is a playable DVD, and MI-13528 is a full resolution HD duplicate master Quicktime file in PRORES HQ codec. Running time for each is 3 min, 1 sec.
