Typewritten information on back of photograph as follows: John Diefenbaker & E.L. Murton. Taken late fall in Dec, 1909. The ox belonged to Sam Perry & named John. Taken near the Halcyonia School on Sam Perry's place. Sam gave the land for the school off his homestead & Laurie Murton worked for him for a year. This information from L. Murton.
