Dennis Gruending has been active in a number of provincial, national and international organizations in the course of his career as a writer and journalist, including: Saskatchewan Journalists' Association; The Writers' Union of Canada; International PEN (a worldwide association of writers); and Tools for Peace (Coalition for Aid to Nicaragua).

This series consists of correspondence, minutes of meetings, newsletters and background material.
