Documentary: Looks at the types of energy resources that are used in Saskatchewan and how they are used. These energy resources include gas, oil, solar, wind, water, geothermal, wood, peat beds and coal. Also discussed is the research going on to find the most efficient ways to use each resource by way of co-generation and conservation methods and how a combination of different energy sources might be used to obtain the most efficient use of each. Includes good shots of men operating an oil drilling rig and of a large dragline in operation at an open-pit coal mine. See FILM R-4006 copy 1 and FILM R-4006 copy 2. CAUTION: FILM R-4006 copy 1 has a slight odor like that of vinegar - this could be an indication of VINEGAR SYNDROME.
