Documentary: Examines the increased economic diversification in Saskatchewan since 1945 with emphasis on the expansion of secondary industries and the improving quality of life in the province. Showcased is the development of coal-fired and hydro-electric power plants, the potash industry, the oil and gas industry, steel production, and the forestry and lumber industries. The film also describes how the province's infrastructure has been improved with rural electrification, roads being extended and paved, the construction of the national microwave service, the construction of new senior citizen homes, and with the construction of new educational facilities to train people to fill the jobs being created in the province.
