Conquest

Item is a VHS copy from Digital Betacam master of the romantic comedy entitled, Conquest, produced by Shaftesbury Films, Heartland Motion Pictures and Greenpoint Films. Set in the sleepy, aging town of Conquest, Saskatchewan, Conquest centres around Pincer Bedier, a young French-Canadian banker who dreams of revitalizing the town, and Daisy McDonald, a young stranger to town whose car has broken down. Pincer and Daisy develop a romantic relationship and, together, invigorate the residents on the idea of a bright, prosperous future for the town.

Conquest was film on location in Davin, Mortlach and St. Joseph's, Saskatchewan. It was produced by Christina Jennings, Stephen Onda and Scott Garvie; directed by Piers Haggard; written by Robert Forsyth; edited by Ralph Brunjes; and Gerald Packer was cinematographer. The cast of Conquest included: Lothaire Bluteau; Tara Fitzgerlad; Monique Mercure; David Fox; Eugene Lipinski; Quyen Hua; Jean Freeman; and Gabriel Prendergast.
