Jacqui Shumiatcher, wife of Morris Shumiatcher, donated certain records to the Regina office, Saskatchewan Archives in four accessions between 2006 and 2016: R2006-252 (August 17, 2006); R2006-262 (September 7, 2006); 2012-195 (July 31, 2012) and 2016-093 (June 28, 2016).

Scope and content

This series consists of personal records created, accumulated and used by Morris Shumiatcher of Regina, Saskatchewan. A small volume of records created and accumulated by his wife, Jacqui Shumiatcher, after his death in 2004, consisting mainly of condolence letters, is included.

The series consists of eight sub-series: Shumiatcher Family; Scrapbooks and Photograph Album; Personal Library; Interviews; Birthday Celebrations; Awards/Certificates; Death and Condolences; and Personal - Various.

The types of records included are correspondence; scrapbooks; yearbooks; photographs; publications; certificates; membership cards; and sound recordings.

Archival staff placed textual records in acid-free folders and removed fasteners. Photographs were placed in mylar sleeves and acid-free envelopes.
