Custodial history

Miriam Hoffer, daughter of Abram Hoffer, donated some of these records to the Saskatchewan Archives in one accession in 2009: 2009-694 (March 22, 2009).

Scope and content

This series consists of Abram Hoffer's incoming and outgoing correspondence with a variety of individuals, organizations and companies around the world relating mainly to the practice of orthomolecular medicine. The records include greeting cards, newspaper clippings, copies of medical records and articles/research papers. Some of the correspondence is answered by Frances Fuller, CEO of the Orthomolecular Vitamin Information Centre.

It appears that once a certain volume of correspondence with a particular correspondent accumulated in a miscellaneous file, an individual file was created for the correspondent. The individual files are located in the General Correspondence series (F 410-3). The correspondence not moved to the General Correspondence series is found here in the Miscellaneous Correspondence series. The records are arranged in alphabetical order by surname or corporate name.
