Historical trailers: Consists of a series of eight 1 minute vignettes related to different Saskatchewan places or historical events:

(1) Looks at the Legislative Building in Regina. Includes interior and exterior shots of the building and scenes of the opening of the legislative session with the Lieutenant Governor in attendance.
(2) Looks at the Saskatchewan Museum of Natural History (now Royal Saskatchewan Museum) building in Regina. Includes exterior and interior shots of the building and of the dioramas depicting the wildlife of Saskatchewan.
(3) Contemporary black and white film footage of men operating old steam powered threshing machinery and women providing meals to the men. Includes shots of a modern self-propelled combine operating in a farm field.
(4) Shots of a church, constructed of field stone at the turn of the century, at Dilke, Saskatchewan. Includes exterior and interior shots of the church.
(5) Looks at the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) barracks at Regina. The site has served as the Force's main training base since 1882. Includes scenes of the grounds, the little chapel and the museum.

Sound recording of an address delivered by George Porteous (1903-1978), the 14th Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan, at the official opening of the convention of the Saskatchewan Urban Municipalities Association (SUMA) in Regina, Saskatchewan on January 30, 1978. This address was the last speech delivered by Porteous before his death on February 6, 1978.

The footage includes shots of Madeleine Carroll riding in the Lieutenant-Governor's carriage with Archibald Peter McNab and Mrs. McNab; shots of Robert Preston riding in a car; shots of floats with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, North West Mounted and North American Indians being represented. The footage is shot from a location on Albert Street. 2) Scenes of men viewing an oil well pumping oil. 3) Scenes of people skating, and boys playing hockey, on outdoor skating rinks, one of which was located at Central Park. 4) Scenes of a parade, possibly a Victory Bond Parade in June, 1941. The footage is shot from a location on Victoria Street. Includes shots of high school bands, military bands, floats urging people to buy war bonds, and lines of marching air force, navy and army personel. 5) Scenes of people at an enclosed oil well derrick. 6) Scenes of people at a lake swimming and boating. 7) Exterior shots of house and backyard flower garden. 8) Scenes of a military parade, possibly the Victory Day Parade held on August 2, 1941, consisting of air force, army and navy personel.
