Television special: Saskatoon Abilities Council's Superthon '89 is broadcast live from Saskatoon and Regina. The ten hour telethon is hosted by Howard Thorton, Steve Ruddick and Alvin Law in Regina while Cathy Little, Brenda Baker and Lindy Thorson host from Saskatoon. Special guests include Cynthia Dale, Bill Wright, Gord McCall, The Jack Semple Band, Ron Katmakoff and various local talent as they encourage donations to the Abilities Council.
