File consists of:

Photocopied deed of land that is dated April 11, 1883 and issued to Regina Mary Rowell of Regina, North-West Territories, by Richard B Angus, et al. for lot number twenty-three in block number two hundred eighty-two in the town site of Regina.

Correspondence written by Regina Mary (Rowell) Craig of Fiske, Saskatchewan to Mrs. Austin Bothwell of Regina, dated August 18, 1932, concerning the deed of land issued in her name in 1883 and her claim that the City of Regina revoked the deed. Correspondence with similar content was also written on June 8, 1953 by Craig (then of New Westminster, British Columbia) to a Mrs. Robson.

The Search for water on the Canadian plains

Appearing in volume 1, issue 1 of Saskatchewan History on pages 4 to 7, items are transcriptions of documentation that concern attempts by the territorial government of the North-West Territories to obtain well boring machines to test for water in different areas. Included are a cover letter from petitioners [signatories identified] from Round Plain the the Touchwood Hills to Edgar Dewdney (Minister of the Interior) requesting an auger to perform these functions; a letter from John R. Hall (acting deputy minister of the interior) to R. B. Gordon (secretary to the lieutenant governor of the North West Territories) offering two well boring machines to the territorial government; the response of R. B. Gordon to John R. Hall's offer of two well boring machines; and rules and regulations on managing such machinery. A brief introduction to the documents is provided by Lewis H. Thomas and are accompanied by the reproduction of an image identified as a "government well drilling machine at Carmel School north of Moose Jaw."

This fonds consists of records created, accumulated and used from 1925 to 1992 by the secretary-treasurer (1925-c.1985) and village administrator (c.1985-1992) of the Village of Liberty, Saskatchewan.

The types of records included are correspondence, memoranda, land use reports, fire inspection reports; tenders/bids; water treatment test and inspection results; registration certificates for water treatment equipment; workers compensation rate assessments; financial statements; budget material, promotional literature, photographs, maps and an architectural drawing.
