Document entitled Lieut. Robert Hood's Narrative of the Proceedings of the Northern Land Expedition Under Captain Sir John Franklin R.N. (Narrative covers the period May 23, 1819 when the Expedition embarked in the Thames to September 15, 1820). The narrative describes a winter spent in the Cumberland House area and has information regarding the local Indigenous peoples and on natural history. Notes prepared by Dr. C. Stuart Houston.

Materials pertaining to the exploration and development of the Canadian North West. Includes a scrapbook of newspaper clippings, and correspondence between Crean and the Department of the Interior pertaining to the exploration trip. Crean headed up the survey in 1908-1909 which was undertaken to determine the agricultural potential in northern Saskatchewan and Alberta. Also, a report by Crean entitled The Winnipeg and English Rivers Prior to Power Development, 1931?.

Sound recordings of an interview with explorer Hugh Blackwall Evans of Vermilion, Alberta, regarding his experiences with the Borchgrevink expedition to the Antarctic in 1898 and his experiences living in Saskatchewan (North-West Territories) in the early 1900s. He speaks of the people he travelled to the Antarctic with, the dangers, weather, wildlife and the terrain and describes meeting Almighty Voice and other anecdotes. Interview conducted by Allen Ronaghan. Transcript included.
