A commercially-produced DVD entitled, Buffy Sainte-Marie: A Multimedia Life, produced by CineFocus-Paquin Pictures of Toronto, Ontario. This television documentary profiles the life and career of entertainer, artist, activist and philanthropist Buffy Sainte-Marie from her birth in Saskatchewan to the turn of the 21st Century. Included are: memories as an adopted child growing up in Maine; her university experience in Massachusetts; her emergence and international recognition as a singer-songwriter; her advocacy for aboriginal rights; her work on the television series Sesame Street; her adoption into the Piapot family at Piapot First Nation in Saskatchewan; her interest in visual and digital arts; and her philanthropic endeavours through her Cradleboard Teaching Project.
