This fonds consists of records created, accumulated and used by Hazel Corneil, a long time resident of Oxbow, Saskatchewan. The records relate mainly to Corneil's interest in the local history of Oxbow and surrounding communities, including Hope, Glen Ewen, Boscurvis, Alameda, Frobisher, Estevan, Arcola, Willow Bunch, Roche Percee, Bienfait, Taylorton, Macoun, Carnduff, Carlyle, Elcott, North Portal and Souris. The records relate to various subjects, including events, people, businesses, buildings, animals, schools, churches and sports teams.
The types of records included are newspaper clippings, photographs, a map, scrapbooks, hand-written notes, family histories, publications, articles, reminiscences, programmes and brochures.
Microfilm Micro. R-2.369 consists of a scrapbook relating to people and events in the Oxbow and Estevan districts; photographs of heavy snowfall and floods along the Souris River in 1969; the Winter 1982-83 issue of Folklore, the newsletter of the Saskatchewan History and Folklore Society; and a document entitled St. Paul's United Church, Oxbow, Saskatchewan, 1990.
