This fonds consists of records created, accumulated and used by Hazel Corneil, a long time resident of Oxbow, Saskatchewan. The records relate mainly to Corneil's interest in the local history of Oxbow and surrounding communities, including Hope, Glen Ewen, Boscurvis, Alameda, Frobisher, Estevan, Arcola, Willow Bunch, Roche Percee, Bienfait, Taylorton, Macoun, Carnduff, Carlyle, Elcott, North Portal and Souris. The records relate to various subjects, including events, people, businesses, buildings, animals, schools, churches and sports teams.

The types of records included are newspaper clippings, photographs, a map, scrapbooks, hand-written notes, family histories, publications, articles, reminiscences, programmes and brochures.

Microfilm Micro. R-2.369 consists of a scrapbook relating to people and events in the Oxbow and Estevan districts; photographs of heavy snowfall and floods along the Souris River in 1969; the Winter 1982-83 issue of Folklore, the newsletter of the Saskatchewan History and Folklore Society; and a document entitled St. Paul's United Church, Oxbow, Saskatchewan, 1990.

This fonds consists of records created, accumulated and used by David Johnson in his work as an artist from the 1950s to 2008. The records include project working files of David Johnson Studio, Inc. relating to stained glass commissions for homes, public buildings and churches. The fonds also includes Johnson's original design paintings in the medium of gouache; court trial sketches, primarily of the Colin Thatcher murder trial, in pen, pencil and watercolour; and photographs of selected artistic works of Johnson's including sculptures, drawings, paintings and prints.

The fonds has been arranged into four series: Project Files; Designs for Stained Glass Windows and Artwork; Other Artistic Works and Personal.

The types of records included are paintings, drawings, photographs, correspondence and clippings.

(1) Looks at the Legislative Building in Regina. Includes interior and exterior shots of the building and scenes of the opening of the legislative session with the Lieutenant Governor in attendance.
(2) Looks at the Saskatchewan Museum of Natural History (now Royal Saskatchewan Museum) building in Regina. Includes exterior and interior shots of the building and of the dioramas depicting the wildlife of Saskatchewan.
(3) Contemporary black and white film footage of men operating old steam powered threshing machinery and women providing meals to the men. Includes shots of a modern self-propelled combine operating in a farm field.
(4) Shots of a church, constructed of field stone at the turn of the century, at Dilke, Saskatchewan. Includes exterior and interior shots of the church.
(5) Looks at the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) barracks at Regina. The site has served as the Force's main training base since 1882. Includes scenes of the grounds, the little chapel and the museum.
(6) Highlights a log structure at Fort Qu'Appelle that was part of the Hudson Bay post built in 1864. The building is a designated national historic site and is open as a museum.
(7) Looks at the potash deposits in the province and their importance to the province's economy. Includes exterior and interior shots of a potash mine.
(8) Highlights the Qu'Appelle Valley as a place for water sports and other recreational activities.

Photographs taken by Lester (Les) James Smith (September 16, 1925-July 16, 2013) as a professional photographer in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Smith was a photographer for the Air Force in Winnipeg, Manitoba and Ottawa, Ontario from 1945 to 1947. In 1951, he joined the Navy Reserve at HMCS Unicorn. He worked for Esquire Photographers, Saskatoon and as a news photographer for CFQC Television in Saskatoon before opening his own business, L.J. Smith Photography, which he operated out of his home at 411 Isabella Street East from 1955 to the mid 1970s. He then worked for the Western Development Museum (WDM) in various capacities until January 1978.

The majority of photographs represent Smith's commercial photography work and relate to individuals, businesses, buildings and events in Saskatoon. Photographs relating to his involvement with the Western Development Museum in Saskatoon and HMCS Unicorn, the Canadian Forces naval reserve division in Saskatoon, are also included. A small volume of photographs relate to other geographical locations, including the potash mine at Bredenbury; Camp Easter Seal near Watrous; and the Western Development Museum in Moose Jaw.
