Text of an address given by Mr. McKay at a meeting of the Old Timers Association, Duck Lake, July 15, 1948. Mr. McKay (1858-1952) reminisced about his early experiences in the west. Also letter to Mr. McKay from Chief Factor L. Clarke in which McKay was appointed an officer in charge of Fort Pitt in place of his father, William McKay, who had just died and about arrangements for his father's funeral, December 27, 1883.
