Documentary profiling Gladys Arnold, a Saskatchewan-born journalist who was the only Canadian Press correspondent in France during the outbreak of World War II, and covered the conflict until she was forced to flee upon the German occupation of France in 1940. Arnold returned to Canada and was an activist for the Free French movement. Fletcher, who as an officer of the First Aid Nursing Yeomanry (FANY) during World War II, coordinated the evacuation of 2000 Dutch internees from a camp in Sumatra in 1945.
