Unpublished document entitled, An Economic Study of Land Settlement in Representative Pioneer Areas of Northern Saskatchewan. Compiled by R.A. Stutt and H. [Hadley] Van Vliet. Stutt was with the Economics Division of the Dominion Department of Agriculture and Van Vliet was a professor in the Department of Farm Management at the University of Saskatchewan. The study focused on the areas of Preeceville, Lintlaw, Bjorkdale, Carragana, Crooked River, Carrot River, Aylsham, Big River, Meadow Lake, Makwa, Loon Lake, Goodsoil and Pierceland. Includes black and white photographs of various subjects, including log houses, streets in Meadow Lake and Loon Lake, the Saskatchewan Pool Elevators Ltd. grain elevator in Goodsoil, a scrub cutter and the sawmill at Crooked River. [1942 or after].
