Honour, platitudes, and the old lie

Item component are notes by editor of Saskatchewan History, Myrna Williams on the imporance of poetry, journals, and diaries are for an understanding experinces of the Great War, a summary of the contents of the issue, including acknowledgements and brief summaries of articles. Component is supplemented by a photograph oshowing a form letters intedned for soldiers to write home, and a letter sen from Soldiers' Christian Association Camp Camp (Bramshott Camp). Component appears on pages 4 and 5.

MythQuest series

This series consists of records pertaining to MythQuest, a family and youth drama television series co-produced by Minds Eye Pictures and VIP Pictures in association with TiMe Film Produktion and David Braun Productions. The thirteen-episode series focuses on Alex and Cleo Bellows, siblings who have discovered a portal to a world of mythology created by their father who has disappeared. They undertake mythic adventures in the altered dimension in search of their father. MythQuest was broadcast on the Public Broadcasting Service in the United States, and on Showcase and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation in Canada. The production received 2002 Saskatchewan Motion Picture Industry Association Showcase Awards for best art direction, costume design, makeup and an open category award; a 2002 Golden Sheaf Award at the Yorkton Short Film and Video Festival for best children's production; and a Platinum Award for best family/children's television series at the 2002 Houston International Film Festival.

The executive producers of MythQuest were Wolfram Tichy (TiMe), Kevin DeWalt (Minds Eye) and David Braun. Producers were Josh Miller, Ray Sager, Knut Winkler and Tom Szolossi. It was directed by Stefan Scaini, Manfred Guthe, Nicholas Kendall, Rob King and Paul Schneider. Writers were Ian Barr, Lienhard Wawrzyn, Jeffrey Cohen, Tracey Forbes, Jeanne Heal, Gillian Horvath, Peter Mohan, Morrie Ruvinsky, Barbara Sapergia and Tom Szolossi. The cast of MythQuest included Christopher Jacot, Meredith Henderson, Joseph Kell, Wendy Anderson, Matthew Walker, Bill Switzer, Leslie Malton and Shaun Johnston.

Moving image records consist of: film to video transfers and elements tapes (MI-7950 to MI-8154); screeners, Rob King versions of episodes, and dubs of international and not-for-broadcast masters (MI-8155 to MI-8172); closed captioned masters and clones for PBS, Showcase and CBC (MI-8173 to MI-8212); edited drop frame masters (MI-8212 to MI-8228); international masters and a sub master (MI-8229 to MI-8242); colour-corrected masters and clones (MI-8243 to MI-8274); and VHS screeners of most episodes (MI-8275 to MI-8286). Accompanying certain master tapes were disks containing data relating to the post-production process.

Sound recordings consist of digital audio tape masters for international and Canadian versions of the production's episodes.

Textual records include episode binders; daily production files; scripts; shooting schedules; and publicity materials.

Risk series

This series consists of records pertaining to Risk, a twenty-two episode drama series for television produced by Minds Eye Pictures and Risk Television Ltd. in association with Showcase Television, Canada. Set in London, England, Risk tells the story of the lives of six young adults and includes themes relating to college, work, career choices, love, and friendship. Risk was filmed entirely in England. It was distributed by Minds Eye International and aired on the Showcase network in Canada.

Executive producers of Risk were Kevin DeWalt, Serge Waismann and Angela Breheny. Its producers were Maureen MacDonald and Rhonda Baker. Directors were Chris Bailey, Rae Kilby and Stephen Hall. Editors were Jason Neilsen, Dean Evans, Ian Strang, Trevor Aikman and Jason Britski. Series episodes were wriiten by Dale Overton, Lucia Haynes, Phil O'Shea, Sylvia Leung, Iain MacLean, Peter Bryant and Andrew Walsh. The main cast of Risk was comprised of Emma Gilmour, Nick Fettiplace, Claire Vaughan, Kristian Lee Wilkin, Elaine Tan and Tim Hopfner.

Moving image records consist of: offline masters (MI-8325 to MI-8644); closed-captioned versions of episode nos. 1 to 22 (MI-8645 to MI-8666, MI-8668 to MI-8689); director cut (PAL version) of episode no. 12 (MI-8667); and a screening master of episode nos. 1, 8 and 19 (MI-8690).

Textual records include: publicity materials; tape logs; production notes; daily shooting reports; scripts; and edit notes for episode nos. 1 to 26. Graphic materials consist of colour images of the cast taken by Colm Hogan.

Dr. Tilley and His Guinea Pigs

Documentary: A documentary focussing on the Canadian Wing of the Guinea Pig Club. Describes the history of the club from its beginnings on July 20, 1941 to the present. Includes a descripton of Canadian doctor Ross Tilley's work at Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead in England where doctors pioneered reconstructive surgery to repair injured airmen's physical features. Includes interviews with nurses, veterans who received for their wounds, villagers of East Grindstead and and with Prince Phillip, the president of the club. Also included is archival footage of patients undergoing operations, general shots of the hospital, and of East Grindstead.
