This series consists of research files relating to studies undertaken by Bohdan Kazymyra. The files contain copies of archival documents, original archival documents, notes and guides to the records searched at each archival institution. The records date from 1894 to 1988.

This fonds consists of records created, accumulated and used by Bohdan Kazymyra of Regina, Saskatchewan relating mainly to his activities as a historian, educator, author, librarian and archivist. Personal records are included.

The types of records included are correspondence, newspaper and magazine clippings, publications, newsletters, research notes, published and unpublished manuscripts, certificates, diplomas, postcards, photographs, sound recordings, a moving image and a map.

The fonds includes a 1965 publication written in the Ukrainian language by Bohdan Z. Kazymyra entitled Development of the Ukrainian Catholic Group in Canada (Pamphlet File - Ukrainians in Canada) and a 1958 publication written in the English language by Bohdan Z. Kazymyra entitled Achievements of Metropolitan A. Sheptyckyj for Ukrainian Canadians (Pamphlet File - Ukrainians in Canada).

This series consists of research and writing materials produced by Bohdan Kazymyra relating to his various projects regarding Andrei Sheptycky, Bishop Budka and Christianity among Ukrainians. Also included are his research notes and drafts of his doctoral dissertation relating to “The Early Years of the Ukrainian Catholic Church in Canada”. The records date from 1894 to 1989.

These materials, many of them original research papers, were solicited by Bohdan Kazymyra in his capacity as principal writer/manager of the history of the Ukrainian Catholic Church in Canada. The monograph was to have been published in 1988 to commemorate the Millennium of Christianity in Ukraine but was never completed.
