History of the Booth Family compiled by Ernest G. Booth. The publication focuses on George Washington Booth Sr., his wife, Esther Marie (Smale) Booth, and their children: John Franklin Booth, Esther Evelyn (Booth) Auclair, and Ernest Gordon Booth. George W. Booth Sr. homesteaded in the Semans, Saskatchewan district.

Compilation of former pamphlet and clipping collections in the Regina office of the Saskatchewan Archives Board. Materials promote immigration to Western Canada and describe the country, climate, homestead regulations, etc. for intending immigrants.

Includes publications issued by the Canadian Department of the Interior and the Department of Immigration and Colonization. File 8 includes the publication entitled The Last West. Files 15, 20 and 21 relate to irrigation. Includes records relating to land, land classification and land agents. File 66 includes a photocopy of a document entitled The Esterhaz colony: as it was and is now, 1885-1902.

This fonds consists of records created, accumulated and used by the William Pearson Company, Ltd. in their activities buying, selling, and advertising land in the Last Mountain Valley, Saskatchewan area.

The types of records included are: correspondence of Wm. Pearson Co. Ltd. and its successor, Pearson & Son, Ltd.; land examination and crop reports from 1909-1913 (T20-30 R24-25 W2; T21-28 R26-27 W2), 1925 (T7-30 R24-26 W2), 1929 (T20-30 R24-26 W2; T38-39 R4-9 W2), and 1934 (T20-30 R14-26 W2), including its successor, Middle West Land Co. (Manitoba); promotional brochures, pamphlets, booklets, and hand-coloured glass lantern slide transparencies which were taken on excursions in the Last Mountain Valley area; a lantern slide projector; maps of the land holdings and sales of Wm. Pearson Co. Ltd.; a mimeographed copy of memoirs written by William Pearson; and a photograph of the Strassbourg rail station.
