This item consists of copies of three films created in the 1940s and later donated to the Prince Albert Historical Society from the estate of Myrtle Strangways, an educator and amateur cinematographer. The content of the films includes: black bears, squirrels and birds in the forest and at a campsite; ski jumping and downhill skiing; cross-country skiing; several parades, including military personnel, Royal Canadian Mounted Police personnel, horseback riders, and children; an Athlone I.O.D.E. pet parade; a convoy of Bombardier snow machines and military personnel carrying skis; a McCormick farm implement in use during harvest; a team of farm horses; an aerial demonstration of two Royal Canadian Air Force yellow chipmunk planes; a float plane; rapids; and sightseeing in the Canadian Rockies and Niagara Falls.
