John Hewgill Brockelbank of Regina, Saskatchewan, a farmer and politician born in 1897, discusses his personal background, farm organizations, the Progressive movement, the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool, his personal political history, 1938-1967, political personalities such as J.S. Woodsworth, M.J. Coldwell, David Lewis, Thomas C. Douglas, Woodrow Lloyd, the reasons for the Co-operative Commonwealth Federation (CCF) strength in Saskatchewan, the formation of the New Democratic Party (NDP) and the medicare crisis.

Robert C. Murray of Regina, Saskatchewan, a farmer born in 1890, discusses his family history and homesteading experiences in the Yellow Grass district with comments about community activities, churches and the effects of the Depression and two World Wars on the district.
