This fonds consists mainly of records created, accumulated and used by Clarence B. Fairbairn during his professional career as a reporter, editor and managing editor of the "Western Producer" newspaper in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
The types of records included are newspaper clippings and editorials, notes about the newspaper, and many photographs, negatives, and slides, including negative albums and high quality 2 x 2 inch colour slides. The graphic materials depict various aspects of life in Saskatchewan and Western Canada primarily in the 1960s and 1970s. There is also a file containing copies of published obituaries for Clarence Fairbairn, likely collected by his son, Brett Fairbairn.
