Jean-Louis Légaré (1841-1918) was a fur trader and merchant of Wood Mountain and one of the founding members of Willow Bunch, Saskatchewan. He induced Sitting Bull to surrender.

Copy of a drawing or engraving of York Factory, a settlement and Hudson's Bay Company (HBC) trading post. It was located on the southwestern shore of Hudson Bay in northeastern Manitoba, at the mouth of the Hayes River. Buildt in 1684, York Factory was one of the first fur-trading posts established by the HBC, and was used for more than 270 years.
