The photographs focus mainly on agricultural conventions and exhibitions held in a variety of locations across western Canada, reflecting the interests of Western Producer readers. Some people attending these events are identified including Pierre Trudeau, Ross Thatcher, Louis "Scoop" Lewry, Clarence Barber, just to name a few. There are several views of streets, buildings, businesses, events and farms, mostly in and around Saskatchewan towns and cities but also includes some from Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta and British Columbia.

Images of art and architecture in Saskatchewan accumulated and used by Nik Semenoff of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, likely in his role as a visual specialist with the Extension Division, University of Saskatchewan. Many of the images relate to architecture designed by various Saskatchewan architects, including George H. Kerr; Patrick Cullingworth; Kioshi Izumi; Roger L. Walls; and Melvyn Malkin.

Included are images of works of art by various artists, including H. Becker; Henry Bonli; Reta Cowley; H. Hatton; Andrew Hudson; Dorothy (Knowles) Perehudoff; Ernest Lindner; W.C. Mulcaster; William Perehudoff; and Otto Rogers. Images of the art collection of the Mendel Art Gallery in Saskatoon are also included.

Images of churches are included, as follows: All Saints Anglican Church, Saskatoon; Knox United Church, Saskatoon; St. Timothy's Anglican Church, Saskatoon; and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Regina.

Images of schools are included as follows: Allan Hill School, Prince Albert; Prince Albert Technical School, Prince Albert; Brevoort Park School, Saskatoon; Evan Hardy Collegiate, Saskatoon; Walter Murray Collegiate, Saskatoon; Massey School, Regina; Thom Collegiate, Regina; and St. Joseph's College, Yorkton.

Images of hospitals are included as follows: St. Paul's Hospital, Saskatoon; University Hospital, Interns' Dormitory, Saskatoon; and Yorkton Psychiatric Centre.
