1939 Royal Visit parade in Regina

Images depicting the Royal visit of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth to Regina, Saskatchewan in May, 1939. Includes (1) decorative welcome arch; (2) people gathered near a train; (3) parade proceeding east along 11th Avenue near Albert Street, with members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police riding horses that are pulling a carriage; (4) view looking north on Rose Street at 12th Avenue, with parade proceeding south on Rose Street.

25th Anniversary of New York Tailors, Regina

Group photograph taken to commemorate the 25th anniversary of New York Tailors in Regina. A head and shoulders portrait of Sol Kobilnitsky, manager and president, is located in the top left hand corner of the print. The only other employees identified are John Wambach, a tailor, standing in the middle of the second row, and his wife, Kathleen Wambach, sitting in the front row, fourth from the right.

35th Annual Travellers' Day Parade in Regina

Images taken at the 35th Annual Travellers' Day Parade in Regina, Saskatchewan. Includes images of various floats; various speakers, including City of Regina mayor Henry Baker, standing on a podium; marching bands; Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan Hanbidge riding in a horse-drawn carriage; and a pair of buffalo (bison) pulling a cart. The floats were centered on the Canada Centennial and Regina Buffalo Days themes. Includes floats sponsored by the City of Regina, Recreation Division and Artistic Furniture Refinishing and Repair.
