1969 Pion-Era Exhibition

Views of the 1969 Pion-Era Exhibition, held at the Pion-Era Grounds at Saskatoon, July 7-12, 1969. Events and attractions included: horse riding demonstrations; Shetland ponies; pioneer-era agricultural demonstrations; steam engine demonstrations; antique automobile displays; music and dance performances; a midway with amusement rides; horse and chuckwagon races; a trick roping act; pony chariot races; pioneer-era weaving demonstrations; a parade; Indigenous dance and tepee demonstrations; and an acrobatic high-wire act.

Royal Visit of Saskatoon

Scenes from the Royal Visit of Their Majesties Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh to Saskatoon in July, 1959. Included in the visit were: a tour of Pion-Era, including a presentation to the Queen by Scouts Canada (01 to 03, 07, 09 to 14); and a ceremony, marking the opening of the Queen Elizabeth Power Station, held at Saskatoon City Hall (04 to 06, 08).

Pion-Era: Western Development Museum, Saskatoon, July 4-9, 1955

This poster includes information on the Pion-Era and Jubilee Threshermen's Reunion, held at the Western Development Museum in Saskatoon on July 4 to 6, 1955. The programme included exhibitions. demonstrations, competitions, a parade, square dancing, and old time fiddlers' competitions. Admission was: $1.00 for adults, $0.50 for children between ages 12-16; and free for children under 12 years. (2 copies)

This poster includes information on the Canada's Greatest Pioneer Show, Pion-Era, at the Western Development Museum in Saskatoon on July 1 to 6, 1957. The programme included parades, an opening ceremony, bands, pioneer cars, engines, oxen, horses, threshing and plowing demonstrations, races, Kinsmen Karnival, indian pow-wow, square dancing, and a variety of other activities.
