At First Sight series

This series consists of records relating to At First Sight, a 30 minute dramatic film produced in 1984 by Framework Productions Inc. The film's working titles included Syncronicity and Winter Light. The film concerns the mysterious meeting of a man and woman with tragic results. At First Sight, one of the first independent films shot in Saskatchewan, was aired on CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) and at international film and video festivals. The film was directed by Roman Buchok, executive produced by Edward Onda and produced by Stephen Onda.

The film was produced with the assistance of Yorkton Television Company Ltd. and Saskatchewan Film Pool Cooperative and produced with the participation of Telefilm Canada.

Production records include a script, contracts, budget, continuity report, prop receipts, continuity photographs, copy of broadcast master and master mix of sound on 16 mm magnetic film.

Audio-Visual Materials series

This series consists mainly of sound recordings and moving images in various formats created, accumulated and used by Abram Hoffer. Some of the records relate to presentations given by Hoffer and various colleagues on medical topics.

A small volume of sound recordings and moving images are located in other series in the fonds (See F 410-1; F 410-6; F 410-8 and F 410-10).

Autobiography series

This series consists of copies of articles Edna Jaques wrote about her life, and drafts for her autobiography Uphill All the Way.

Awards series

The series consists of minutes, correspondence and reports relating to E.K. Turners involvement with various awards programs, primarily the Saskatchewan Awards of Merit /Order of Merit program. The Saskatchewan Order of Merit is the province's highest distinction - similar to the Order of Canada but on a provincial level. Turner served on several committees relating to this and other awards between 1986 and 2001.

Best of Festival series

This series consists of records pertaining to Best of Festival (alternate title Best of the Fest), a one-hour television special produced by Minds Eye Entertainment. Recorded live in 2008 from the Casino Regina Show Lounge in Regina, Saskatchewan, the special captured highlights of the Ninth Annual Canadian Comedy Awards and Festival. It was hosted by Shaun Majumder and included comedy acts from Peter Anthony, Jennifer Grant, David Merry, DeAnne Smith and Derek Edwards with cameo appearances from Dave Foley, Gerry Dee and Lorne Cardinal. Best of Festival aired on the Comedy Network. Best of the Fest was a 2009 Showcase Award class nominee in the Arts/Entertainment category. The executive producer of Best of Festival was Kevin DeWalt.

Records consist of: ISO tapes for camera nos. 1 to 5; line cut record (Tapes 1 to 4); dub of Gavin Crawford's acceptance; part of animation graphic; a master; a revised master; and footage of Russell Peters dated September 18, 2008. Electronic records include: sound rolls; animation graphic renders and pre-renders; and a video recording of an acceptance speech given by Seth Rogen.
