This collection consists of records accumulated and used by Brian Stubbings of Regina, Saskatchewan. The photographs and postcards relate mainly to Stubbings' maternal and paternal family members in Regina and the Oxbow district and to Regina and to southern Saskatchewan towns and villages. Some of the postcards were addressed to Charlotte Stubbings of Regina.

Bruce Peel fonds

This fonds consists of records created, accumulated and used by Bruce Peel as a historical researcher and author. The fonds includes letters from Malcolm Dougald McTaggart to Peel in which McTaggart outlines his activities in railway construction; a biographical sketch of Edward Field; reminiscences of James Alexander Aikin, an early newspaperman in Saskatoon, with an introduction and notes written by Peel; and several of Peel's articles and publications. The fonds also includes research materials prepared, collected and arranged by Peel for a filmstrip on the history of the Rural Municipality of Mankota No. 45. The research materials consist of 78 photographs, a manual to accompany the filmstrip and the boards photographed as part of the filmstrip. The photographs, which date between 1900 and 1947, depict the people, buildings and views of Mankota and surrounding area. The manual, with a forward written by Marion W. Hagerman, includes a narrative which describes the various images and plates that make up the filmstrip.

The fonds consists of photographs of farming activities in west-central Saskatchewan from 1913-1915. The bulk of the images deal with the members of a work crew hired to break parcels of land near Kindersley SK, and prepare the land for cultivation. Included are images of tractors and equipment used to break, in some cases, the virgin soil. There are also photographs of a threshing crew at work in the area, and a farmer seeding his land using seed 'drills'.

This fonds consists of records created, accumulated and used by George Henry Oscar (Joe) Friel of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan and his family, and pertain to: George Friel's service in the Royal Canadian Air Force and Royal Air Force from 1940-1945, including correspondence written by Friel to his mother in Moose Jaw; his years prior to his service; his post-war employment and family; research done by Dr. Jon Parsons Friel relating to his father's service; and the Christian Science religious movement followed by the Friel family.

Records of George Friel's military service have been photocopied from the records held at Archives Canada and were acquired by Jon Parsons Friel in 1983 and 2005.

The types of records included are Airman's Service and Pay Book, certificates, correspondence, Pilot's Flying Log Book, photographs, publications, research documents, and a sound recording.

The fonds has been arranged into two series: Military Service; Personal and Family Records.
