'Deejay' Fred Wall and the western Canada tour 1892-1895

Component is an article describing Fred Wall's activities with the Regina Amateur Minstrels, presentations of early audio recordings to audiences using the phonograph, and later motion picture presentations with a kinetoscope. Component appears on pages 36 to 45.

Articles is supplmented by photographs showing: unidentified (musical) performers in blackface with a variety of musical instruments [e.g. guitar, xylophone, accordion, tambourine]; program for a concert at the Moosomin Opera Hall, held on April 15, 1895; a phonograph; and a group of seated people (in blackface) on a decorated stage for a ministral play in Broadview, Saskatchewan [all appear to be holding musical instruments].
