Kings of the World: The Curling Richardsons sub-series

Documentary profiling the Ernie Richardson curling team from Regina, Saskatchewan, three-time provincial, four-time Canadian and three-time world champions. The team, comprised of brothers Ernie and Garnet "Sam" Richardson, their cousins Arnold and Wes Richardson, and Mel Perry, dominated the sport of curling from 1959 to 1964. Interviewees include: Ernie Richardson; Sam Richardson; Marjorie Beisel, sister of Ernie and Sam; Arnold Richardson; Ken Newans, former sports broadcaster; Wes Richardson; Bob Hughes, sports writer; Mel Perry; Ron Northcott, Alberta champion curler; and Jack MacDuff, 1976 Canadian champion curler. Produced in association with CBC Television and SCN. Records include: a master final version; treatment; transcripts of interviews; and photocopies of newspaper clippings.
