Sound recordings of oral history interviews on various aspects of the history, organization, co-operative philosophy and objectives of the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool conducted by John Turner for the Oral History of the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool Oral History Project, commissioned by the Saskatchewan Department of Culture and Youth as part of the Towards A New Past program. Summaries, agreements and some transcripts are included.

Interviewees are as follows:

William D. Achtymichuk, Kamsack (Tape R-1219) describes his personal background; reasons why the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool was formed; co-operative organization in the Kamsack area; effects of the Depression; and his views on co-operation and the relationship of socialism and communism to the CCF. 1976.

Documentary: This film documents the 1946 automobile tour by the co-operative members from twelve states. Starting in Superior-Duluth, they travel to Manitoba and Saskatchewan where co-op enterprises are examined along the way. The tour arrives in Regina for the National Convention of the Cooperative Commonwealth Federation (CCF), and meets such persons as Frank Scott, David Lewis, M.J. Goldwell, Sam Watson and T.C. Douglas. Regina scenes include downtown buildings and Saskatchewan Wheat Pool employees on their tennis courts. Also contains scenes of Moose Jaw, Davidson and Saskatoon.
