This series consists of records pertaining to Beyond the Gate: The Future of Canadian Agriculture, a two-part documentary for television. Beyond the Gate was produced by Minds Eye Pictures with the participation of Telefilm Canada and Sask Film. Hosted by Jack McGaw, the documentary examines the evolution of the Canadian agriculture industry and its challenges into the future, both domestically and globally. Beyond the Gate was produced by Kevin DeWalt, written and directed by Rob King, and videographed and edited by Ken Krawczyk. It was awarded a certificate of honourable mention at the 1994 Columbus International Film and Video Festival.
Records include raw footage video reels (MI-5636 to MI-5639), video reel to tape transfers (MI-5640 to MI-5647), master tapes (MI-5648 to MI-5653), safety dubs (MI-5654 to MI-5657), viewing copies (MI-5658 to MI-5659), and a promotional tape (MI-5660).
