This government series consists of original signed Orders-in-Council administered by the Executive Council of Saskatchewan. Related attachments, such as ministerial recommendations, schedules, maps and plans are included. The series consists of order-in-council numbers 1/05 to 1007/2007.

Orders-in-Council are directives issued by the Lieutenant Governor on the advice of Cabinet authorizing certain actions to be taken. They are used to implement a policy decision, implement an administrative decision that is beyond the sole authority of a minister or record a Cabinet decision by providing a document for public use. Each order is initially recommended by the minister responsible for a particular act, department, agency, board or commission. It is then approved by the president of the Executive Council, being either the premier or deputy premier, and ordered by the Lieutenant Governor. Orders-in-council are numbered consecutively for each year. The number of the order appears first, followed by the year the order was issued. For example, 1/67 was the first order issued in 1967.
