5 videos that are part of the Treaty 8 Centennial Research Workshops organized and held in June 1999 in the Grouard, Alberta area to commemorate the signing of Treaty 8 in 1899. The five sessions covered the following topics: Researching and Writing Northern History; Geneaology Basics and Aboriginal Archival Resources; Archival Preservation/Conservation Techniques for Family Treasures; Aboriginal (Indian and Metis) Geneaology Research; and Oral History Research Techniques and Case Studies. The series was a project of the Alberta Historical Resources Foundation and Alberta International and Intergovernmental Affairs.

Programs broadcast by Saskébec from February to May 1978. The Saskébec (U-9) Experiment was a joint satellite communication project of the University of Regina in Regina, Saskatchewan and the Service General Des Moyens D'Enseignement of the Ministere de L'Education du Quebec. The Saskébec experiment was one of the Canadian university projects set up for the HERMES communication satellite program. The project centered around the communities of Zenon Park, Saskatchewan and Baie St. Paul, Québec.

The Churchill River Study Oral History Project

Sound recordings created in conjunction with the Churchill River Study, Wildlife Sector, Saskatchewan Department of Tourism and Renewable Resources. The interviews were conducted by Syd Barber, Phillip Morin Jr., and Dennis sherratt. The project focused on the older trappers in the lower Churchill and Reindeer areas and sought information on wildlife resources. The history and life in the region are also discussed. The History of the "Progressive" Ukrainian Community in Saskatchewan Oral History Project

The State Hospital and Medical League Oral History Project

The State Hospital and Medical League was organized during the 1930s by a group of volunteers in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. They were concerned that many people in the province were not receiving proper medical attention and felt that such care should be provided by the state. The interviews conducted for this project were with people who in some way were associated with the early beginnings of the league.

This oral history project was part of the Towards a New Past Programme of the Saskatchewan Department of Culture and Youth. The interviews were conducted by Caroline Sergeant.
