Jean Hinds' CBK radio transcript

Transcript of a radio presentation of the reminiscences of Mrs. Steve "Win" Thompson of Regina, Saskatchewan by Jean Hinds of CBK radio, Regina. Mrs. Thompson emigrated as a 17-year-old with her mother and sister from England in 1907 and homesteaded with her family in the Earl Grey, Saskatchewan district. The story tells of Thompson's reminiscences of her travels from England, and her early homesteading experiences. Also included in file is a note from Hinds to the Saskatchewan Archives Board concering the transcript.

[3 copies]. Page one of the second copy of the transcript indicates that the interview was conducted by Allan R. Turner, Provincial Archivist of Saskatchewan.

Davis family correspondence

Letters written by Edward (Ted) Davis (1873-1970) and his wife, Beatrice, to family back in England, 1906-1908. Typewritten transcription of letters, along with additional information on family, included. Edward Davis emigrated from Lincoinshire, England in 1906 with his wife and two young sons. The family settled in the Condie, Saskatchewan district, where Edward Davis helped on a farm owned by Mr. Moore (Rose Plain) before moving to the Truax district.
