Drug Class sub-series

Television series based on the Drug Class program, created and presented by Rand Teed, a counsellor and certified prevention specialist. The series combines information sessions lead by Teed on adolescent substance abuse issues with stories of substance abuse from the program's teen participants. Participants came from high schools in Regina, Saskatchewan. Series director Robert Daniel Pytlyk won a Gemini Award for Best Youth Direction in 2008 for his work on season one of the series. Records include unedited footage, interviews, B rolls and episode introductions from seasons one and three of the series; transcripts of interviews from seasons one to three; and negatives of promotional photographs from season one.

Kings of the World: The Curling Richardsons sub-series

Documentary profiling the Ernie Richardson curling team from Regina, Saskatchewan, three-time provincial, four-time Canadian and three-time world champions. The team, comprised of brothers Ernie and Garnet "Sam" Richardson, their cousins Arnold and Wes Richardson, and Mel Perry, dominated the sport of curling from 1959 to 1964. Interviewees include: Ernie Richardson; Sam Richardson; Marjorie Beisel, sister of Ernie and Sam; Arnold Richardson; Ken Newans, former sports broadcaster; Wes Richardson; Bob Hughes, sports writer; Mel Perry; Ron Northcott, Alberta champion curler; and Jack MacDuff, 1976 Canadian champion curler. Documentary profiling the Air Transport Auxiliary (ATA) and its role during World War II. Featured is Violet Milstead Warren, First Officer, who served between 1943 and 1945 and was one of 43 Canadian pilots in the ATA. Interviewees include: Vi Milstead Warren; Eric Viles, MBE, chairman of the ATA Association; Diana Barnato Walker, MBE, Commodore, ATA Association; Ernest K. Birmann, First Officer, ATA; Margaret Littlewood, pilot; Shirley Render, pilot, author and aviation historian; Linda Dale, curator; and Betty Ridgeway, friend of Vi Milstead Warren. Documentary short profiling the Baildon Hutterite Colony in Saskatchewan and its people. Images of the people at school, work and home are featured, set to a soundtrack which includes traditional Hutterite songs and chants. Documentary of Patrick Bird, an actor and musician formerly of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, who survived childhood sexual abuse, parental neglect, life in the foster care system, alcohol and drug abuse, and multiple suicide attempts. Includes interviews of Bird, two of his foster parents, a former teacher, and musician Keith Secola. Introduction by the documentary's writer/producer Doug Cuthand. Documentary profiling the Canadian Nursing Sisters, a unit of 4480 registered nurses who volunteered their service, both in Canada and overseas, during World War II. Interviewees include: Edith Landells, editor of Canadian Military Nurses, Volumes 1-3; and nurses Dorothy Macham, Helen Mussallem, and Lettie Turner. Also featured are excerpts from the Canadian Nursing Sisters reunion held in June 1998.
