Item component consists of a selection of reminiscences by early Saskatchewan homesteaders on past Christmas and New Years' celebrations as recorded in replies to a questionnaire sent out by Provincial Archivist Lewis Thomas in 1954. Stories selected are by H. A. Anslow of Stony Beach, Chas. C. Bray of Wolseley, Mrs. M. M. White, WHS Grange, and Mrs. Ruth Giles.
Article is supplemented by black and white photographs showing: Christmas decorations in Percy's Butcher Shop in Broadview (ca. 1912) with Percy Whitemouth, William Quail and an unidentified individual; John P.
