This series consists of research material, interviews, draft manuscript chapters, proofs, correspondence with editors, transcripts, notes, diaries, cartoons, and appointment books associated with the research and writing of Gruending's 1985 edition of Emmett Hall: Establishment Radical. There are also records relating to the creation and release of the revised and updated edition of the book (2005), including a promotional video.

Audio recordings form a substantial part of the series. File I.1 contains a list of interviews.

Dennis Gruending donated these records to the Regina office, Provincial Archives of Saskatchewan, in two accessions, in 1992 and 2019: R92-285 (November 4, 1992); and 2019-095 (August 1, 2019).


Order imposed on textual material received in 1992 by research assistants under direction of donor, prior to transfer.
