Home movies: Footage taken in 1934 in Assiniboine Park, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Includes scenes of birds, bear, elk, beaver and other wild animals and of roller coaster rides. Also included is a small amount of footage taken in 1932 of people visiting the Moose Jaw Wild Animal Park.

Beaver pelt fleshing and scraping; Lynx, mink, squirrel and beaver trapping; Moose and elk hunting

01: Pioneer trapper Con Hanson of Candle Lake fleshes a beaver pelt before tacking it onto a stretching board to dry. 02: Hanson carefully scrapes the beaver pelt on the stretching board to remove any residual scraps of flesh and fat. 03: Veteran trapper Earl Harnish delivers "coup de grace" to a lynx trapped in the Candle Lake area. 04: Harnish removes the lynx from its trap. 05: A prime mink is found by trapper Fred Coles as he lifts his traps on the shore of Candle Lake. 06: Trapper Ralph De Peel finds a squirrel in a Conibear trap at Candle Lake. 07: Interested trappers watch as Saskatchewan Department of Natural Resources game management officer Henry Toews lowers a Conibear trap into an underwater run outside a beaver house in the Candle Lake area. 08: Conservation officer Al Fremont (left) writes a fur advance cheque for area trapper Earl Harnish at the Candle Lake Department of Natural Resources headquarters. In the background are trappers Fred Coles and Ralph De Peel.
